- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆The perfect place for a picnic, whether it's a romantic one or a family sized one! During Spring, the flowers are a mezmerising kaleidoscope of colours and the enchanting smells combined with warm sunshine is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. There is a cafe with drinks and some fresh foods available for a price. The entry fee was reasonable and it's well worth the short drive from Canberra to go visit. The crowds can be big but there is plenty of room to spread out under the trees. The toilets are reasonable. The only down side is there, obviously, are bees everywhere. Millions of them. I heard several people get stung throughout the day so if you have a bee sting allergy, probably sadly give this place a miss.By Fiona Crispin, November 12, 2016
